Year 7 Entry

Lakes Grammar accepts Application for Admission forms for Year 7 entry, at any time, however, check the Current Enrolment Updates page to ascertain availability for the year and year group you are requiring. In some years there is a large waiting list and applications have closed. Enrolment for these years will be confirmed, subsequent to a successful enrolment interview, up to two years prior to the desired start date.

Applications are accepted up until the start of the Year 7 school year and beyond. However, most offers of enrolment for Year 7 entry are extended at the beginning of the year the students are in Year 5. Therefore, it is advisable to have submitted an Application for Admission form prior to 1 March of the year your child is in Year 5.

Please note that demand for places in Year 7 is very high. It is advisable to submit an application several years in advance.

Important Note About Year 7

The school Board is investigating the viability of a four-stream high school, beginning with Year 7 in 2014. Careful consideration about building, staffing and finances is underway which will also involve approvals from Diocesan authorities and banks. An announcement will be made later in 2013 but an affirmative decision cannot be guaranteed. The Board is heartened by the very high demand for places at Lakes Grammar and acknowledges that uncertainty about places for next year can be difficult for prospective parents and students. However, this is a complex decision that cannot be rushed. We look forward to finding the best ways of serving existing and future Lakes' communities.

Other Years Entry

Limited places may become available throughout the course of each year. Therefore, enrolment enquiries are welcome for any year group.
