Students at Lakes Grammar in both Junior and Senior School will now enjoy integrated learning in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through problem solving and inquiry-based learning experiences. Opening early in 2019, the STEM Centres will allow students to undertake practical Science experiments, use robotics equipment, learn and apply coding skills and explore engineering concepts and benefit from integrated enrichment in Mathematics.
The development of STEM education as a part of our overall offering will allow students to engage with the contemporary world and further develop their 21st century learning capacities such as critical thinking, creativity and problem solving which is enormously exciting for us as a school.
As part of this development works, expansion in our Senior School will soon be complete including the new STEM Centre along with a huge new Design & Technology workshop featuring state of the art facilities and a new dedicated Drama Room complete with staging, lighting and curtains. Drama will be introduced as an elective from Year 9 onwards which continues to strengthen our Creative and Performing Arts offering.
If you would like to take a look around our campus and new facilities please call our Registrar Racquel Jolly on 4393 4111 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
