BUILDING BETTER FUTURES

Choosing a Career pathway can be daunting, however, at Lakes Grammar we assist with the decision-making process by having careers sessions and multiple career fairs’ including one that is held onsite, for Years 10-12 that increase students exposure to potential career pathways.

Year 10 students visit the University of Newcastle on a career visit day; furthermore, they are provided with opportunities throughout the year to explore their personal strengths, interests and passions to choose a career path as well as developing practical skills like designing a resume and how to perform in group interview.

Year 11 and Year 12 students are able to meet with the careers team (careers adviser, deputy principal and head of teaching and learning) to develop a strategic pathway and be provided guidance to help achieve their career goals.

Our team, which includes a dedicated career adviser, offer a number of programs to support all of our students to develop their own personal agency and to fulfil their post-school goals and aspirations.
