As we approached Harmony Week, a time dedicated to celebrating our diversity and uniting Australians from various backgrounds, our school hall went through a remarkable transformation.
Artists Grant and Russ Moloney, alongside Jason Goulding, crafted a captivating mural.
Inspired by a design conceptualised by a Lakes senior student, the mural features two side profiles merging seamlessly, symbolising unity. The mural incorporates vibrant colours and intricate lines, reflecting the amalgamation of our community’s voices through votes on key animals representing land and sea. Infused with elements of the natural world and Russ Moloney’s storytelling, the mural embodies collaboration, grounding, and connectivity. It radiates a serene yet motivating ambiance, resonating with all who behold it.
