Academic Care
A daily academic care program provides a consistent space for students to develop effective study and organisational skills, engage with wellbeing topics that are appropriate to each age and stage, and explore social and relational issues in a safe and supportive environment.
Our academic care program strengthens the links between academic, pastoral and community engagement. In all of this, emphasis is placed on fostering academic and personal resilience, developing self-regulation skills, promoting a genuine sense of self-confidence, and cultivating emotional intelligence.
Our program draws on the best of contemporary educational science, psychology and wellbeing, including some of the key principles of positive psychology, while also addressing the ongoing and rapidly evolving challenges affecting young people today.
Through an intentional design for each year group, students learn practical strategies to manage challenges, nurture healthy relationships, and develop a strong and healthy sense of self.
The goal is not only to ensure our students thrive academically, but also to contribute confidently and compassionately to our school community and the world beyond.
